What is the Olympia Surgery Center (OSC)?
The Olympia Surgery Center (OSC) is an Orthopedic (specialty) surgical center operated by your Surgeon who is a member of Olympia Orthopaedic Associates. Procedures performed are same day surgical and diagnostic procedures that require minimal to moderate recovery time and no overnight stay.
What is the advantage of having surgery at the OSC?
The OSC has a distinct advantage being owned and operated by your Surgeon. This allows your Surgeon to control the quality of care delivered to each patient. The OSC is designed to provide safe, efficient, high quality and cost effective care for your surgical procedure. The OSC is staffed with dedicated Board certified Anesthesiologists, Registered Nurses, Surgical Technicians, Receptionists, Schedulers and Administrative staff to provide the highest quality of care from admission to discharge. Having your surgery in an outpatient facility means you get to leave after a brief recovery time and rest in the comfort of your own home.
Who can have surgery at the OSC?
Any patient who is referred for a procedure by a member of Olympia Orthopedic Associates. To provide optimal safety, each patient is screened by OSC staff to determine if the patient and procedure is appropriate for an outpatient procedure and anesthetic.
What types of surgery is performed at the OSC?
A wide range of Orthopaedic procedures and pain procedures are performed at the OSC, from lumps and bumps to biopsies, fractures, upper and lower extremity arthroscopy’s to lumbar micro discectomies. The dedicated staff of Anesthesiologists, Registered Nurses, Surgical Technologists and Administrative staff is there to provide the highest quality, safe and professional care.
