Occupational Medicine

At Olympia Orthopaedic Associates, our physicians and staff pride themselves on their expertise in musculoskeletal work-related illnesses and injuries covered under workers' compensation.

Our experienced and board-certified physiatrists, orthopedists and neurosurgeons, and staff, understand the unique challenges presented by industrial injuries and illnesses.

We are dedicated to providing high quality medical care, prompt and early return to work as soon as medically appropriate, and effective multidisciplinary case management to prevent disability and promote functional restoration. We know that early diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries are the keys to returning injured workers to the job as soon as possible. This reduces both medical costs and time lost from work. We aim to provide excellent medical care to the injured worker, while at the same time keeping the employers and insurance carrier apprised of the injured worker’s treatment plan, progress and status.

We work closely with the injured worker, the employer and the carrier to develop appropriate work restrictions and transitional duty assignments. We understand the value of workplace safety and injury prevention and provide education to our patients in proper body mechanics ergonomic and post-injury physical rehabilitation.

Our physicians have received special training and certifications in workers’ compensation report writing and medical-legal evaluations to assure that our written communications are ratable and meet the accepted legal standards.
