Leyen Vu, DO
Dr. Vu is a native of Olympia, WA, and went to high school at Capital High School. He then attended University of Washington for undergraduate education, and received his medical degree at Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. After completion of medical school, Dr. Vu returned to Olympia and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Providence St. Peter Hospital. He then attended the University of Utah to specialize in Sports Medicine. He joined Olympia Orthopaedic Associates in October 2012.
He is board certified in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. He specializes in non-operative treatment of sports-related injuries and musculoskeletal care such as chronic tendonitis, arthritis, fractures and ligament sprains/tears.
Dr. Vu has an interest in treatment of spine disorders and performs fluoroscopically guided injections in the spine and peripheral joints. He also performs ultrasound for diagnosis and therapeutic guided injections. He uses latest technology such as platelet rich plasma (PRP) for chronic tendon problems. He will be serving as team physician for local colleges and high schools in the greater Olympia area.
Dr. Vu enjoys outdoor and organized sports including skiing, snowboarding, golf, football, baseball. He also enjoys playing guitar and writing music.
